Air Force C-130J Hercules training flight over Sydney - Tuesday 8 December
An Air Force C-130J Hercules from RAAF Base Richmond will take to the skies on a training flight over Sydney on Tuesday, 8 December. The flight will depart from RAAF Base Richmond at 10:00am, and conduct an airdrop of cargo to the Londonderry Drop Zone in Sydney’s northwest. The crew will then conduct low-level flying off the southern beaches before overflying Sydney Harbour and then returning to RAAF Base Richmond. For the Hercules’ crew, the flight will form part of their routine aircrew training and currency requirements for safely operating the aircraft. These training flights are subject to variables including weather, air traffic control, and aircraft availability. Sorties may be delayed or cancelled with no public notice.
